Properties: white orthorhombic flaky crystal. Specific gravity is 3.10, melting point is 96.2℃, boiling point is 1560℃. Insoluble in alcohol. It loses water of crystallization at 100℃ and turns white powder.
Uses: Barium chloride is raw material for producing other barium salts. It can be used in printing and dyeing, leather, insecticide, textile printing and dyeing, mordant, water softener, papermaking, and etc.
